Hunter Orvis & Neal Radford are venturing south to Chile and Argentina for month or so of adventure in the high mountains...we look forward to experiencing some great adventures BUT plan on coming home with all our fingers and toes :)

I'm a native southerner with a penchant for travel, ripping through the woods on my bike and enjoying a good beer after a likewise epic. I recently just finished spring semester at Gainesville State College after a sizeable hiatus of working in the outdoor industry and competing in adventure races. Needless to say, retail is somewhat dim as far as a future goes, so I'm back working on my English degree so that I might one day get paid to write about my journeys.
Most twenty-three year olds are looking for internships or a well-paying job at this point in their lives; I'm a fairly devoted to adventure racing and exploring the world in general. This trip will be my first to South America and will hopefully be a fruitful cultural and physical journey.

Hi, I am 43 year old (Gasp!) Kiwi guy that spends his time in Auckland (New Zealand) and Atlanta(USA).I have a small engineering company that I started in 1992. It's just been me since 1997 so I adopted a simple lifestyle, hired some great people and been able to move away from the business and follow passions elsewhere.
From 2001 to 2005 my passion were almost solely Expedition Adventure Racing. I raced competitively with some success - completing about 25 expedition races around the globe. I had a lot of fun and learned alot about the world and myself but have grown to believe serious AR is AMAZING but (for me) too selfish and all consuming a pasttime for the long term.
My passion for adventure is definitely still there but my passion for cultural exploration and understanding has grown. The world faces many challenges and cultural ignorance must be overcome if any significant challenges are to be met.
I am also building a new life for myself back in Auckland New Zealand - come visit me! :)
